For some reason which may or may not have everything to do with media bias and elaborate coverups, this story is going largely unreported in the news. Well, that's what this blog is for.
From what I've pieced together, about 2,500 of the 4,000 residents of Barrow, Alaska have been rather abruptly relocated by government-contracted real estate agents. Many of the residents had already left town, all within the same six-week period, but now it's almost a full-scale evacuation. They are being totally hushed up and all have to sign non-disclosure agreements in exchange for free relocation and housing costs. I don't even know where they're being moved to, but the big question isn't where, it's why. I'm going to keep doing research on this and see what I can find out. I'm almost afraid of what I might dig up, but it's pretty exciting too.
